Julia was born in Aberdeen in 1976, and for many years lived within sight of Bennachie, the mountain that forms the a scenic backdrop to this northern city. Julia now lives in the equally picturesque Dorset, and she gains much inspiration from the flora and landscape of the surrounding countryside, and the rustic feel of the area. Julia's work is instinctive and fresh. She uses a wide range of materials such as broken glass, acrylic paint, plaster and finely crushed stone amongst other media to add texture to her canvasses and give her work a unique 3D quality. Her work continues to evolve. Her work comes in a range of styles, and she will also consider the individual requirements of the buyer. Julia does not produce prints of her work - each painting is a genuine one-off, and it will come with the signature of the artist, along with a letter from her certifying its authenticity.
Julia has had high profile contracts for original modern artwork from businesses like Furniture Village, as well as other independent galleries around the world, and with this website she is pleased to offer you the oppurtunity to learn more about her and to see more examples of her work.
